Dr. Gina Nicoloso is committed to providing patients with the best possible oral health care to help prevent systemic conditions. Dr. Gina Nicoloso has been with Gator Dental since January 2019. She is a graduate of the Doctor of Dental Medicine program at the University of Florida and received Dean’s List honors for high academic achievement. As a Tallahassee native, Dr. Nicoloso also earned a Baccalaureate of Science Degree with Highest Honors in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry from Florida State University. Dr. Gina is currently an active member of the Alachua County Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Florida Dental Association. Her husband, Clay, is Vice Principal at Santa Fe High School and has served as Vice Principal at Howard Bishop Middle School and Hawthorne Middle and High School in the past. When not doing dentistry, Dr. Gina enjoys spending her free time with her husband, dog, 3 cats and 3 parrots. She enjoys hiking and birding. She is has earned her Florida State Forest Trailwalker badge and working on more badges.
BJ is the Manager of Gator Dental Surgery Associates and is knowledgeable with dental insurance. She is responsible for providing real time patient data so the doctors and hygienists have the most updated health information to insure the best patient care. BJ has a wealth of information about insurance plans and will work with you to coordinate your care as to maximize your benefits. She has been the Patient Care Coordinator for Gator Dental Associates since 2005. She enjoys her family time with the grandchildren when not at work.
Rena is the Clinical Director of Dental Hygiene for Gator Dental Surgery and is a Florida Board Certified Registered Dental Hygienist, having completed the certification in the administration of local anesthesia. She attended Santa Fe College first becoming a DANB Certified Dental Assistant and then went on to earn her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. Rena focuses on educating patients on the connection between oral and systemic health. She works closely with the doctor in making sure your health is a priority with the treatment and prevention of oral disease as her main focus. She enjoys Universal Studios and concerts with her family outside of work.
Grace is a Florida Board Certified Registered Dental Hygienist having completed the certification in the administration of local anesthesia. She first attended Santa Fe College to become a DANB Certified Dental Assistant. Grace worked as a Dental Assistant for 16 years and then went on to earn her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. Having grown up in Hawthorne, Grace was a patient here at Gator Dental as an adolescent and she is thrilled to now be working with us and in her hometown community. Grace has a passion for educating patients on oral health and the connection to their overall health. She works closely with the doctor in making sure your health is a priority with the treatment and prevention of oral disease as her main focus. She enjoys spending time with her children and dogs outside of work.
Traci has a dual role of patient care coordinator and dental assistant. This gives her knowledge on dental procedures and she helps check on insurance benefits for patients. Traci is a native of the Hawthorne area and first experienced Gator Dental as a patient before joining our team. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Her hobbies include hunting, fishing, and riding air boats.
Melissa is one of our lovely dental assistants who works closely with Dr. Nicoloso to ensure the patients are at ease, aware, and informed about treatment, whether it be current or upcoming. She is a native of Hawthorne, FL. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her children and crafts/crocheting.
