Affordable Plans
At Gator Dental, we have introduced in-house dental membership plans for patients who do not have dental insurance. This allows you to receive routine dental cleanings in a more affordable option. Meet Dr. Gina
Dr. Gina
Dr. Gina Nicoloso has been part of the Gator Dental team since January 2019. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida, where she was recognized with Dean’s List honors for high academic achievement. A Tallahassee native, she also graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating with Highest Honors, and a minor in Chemistry.
Dr. Gina is an active member of the Alachua County Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Florida Dental Association. She currently serves as the local Legislative Contact Dentist, representing the Florida Dental Association by meeting with lawmakers at the Florida Capitol in Tallahassee to advocate for the dental profession and patients.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Gina enjoys spending time with her husband and their dogs, cats, and parrots. She loves hiking and birding and has earned her Florida State Forest Trailwalker badge. She is always looking for her next trail and working toward earning additional badges through the Florida State Forest program.
Meet the Dental Team
BJ, Front Office Coordinator
BJ is our friendly Front Office Coordinator bringing a warm, welcoming presence to our dental office and the local community she calls home. She has been with Gator Dental since 2005. When she’s not helping our patients or keeping the office running smoothly, she loves spending quality time with her family and especially enjoys making memories with her grandchildren. She’s also a big Buc-ee’s fan—so don’t be surprised if you find her sporting Buc-ee’s gear!
Traci, Patient Care Coordinator and Dental Assistant
Traci has experience in both dental assisting and front office administration, bringing a well-rounded understanding of clinical care and daily dental office operations. She takes pride in being dependable, hardworking, adaptable, and providing patients with a welcoming and comfortable experience. She has been with Gator Dental since 2024. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, cheering on her kids at baseball, and enjoying the outdoors through hunting, fishing, and time on the water. She believes in hard work, teamwork, treating people with kindness, and always bringing a little personality to everything she does.
Rena, C.R.D.H., Certified Registered Dental Hygienist
Rena is a Florida Board Certified Registered Dental Hygienist and is certified in the administration of local anesthesia. She began her dental career at Santa Fe College, first earning her DANB certification as a Dental Assistant before continuing her education and earning her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been with Gator Dental since 2019. Outside of the office, Rena enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on her daughter at cheerleading events, and attending concerts together. She also loves spending time with her Goldendoodle, who is a special part of her family.
Grace, C.R.D.H., Certified Registered Dental Hygienist
Grace is a Florida Board Certified Registered Dental Hygienist and is certified in the administration of local anesthesia. She began her dental career at Santa Fe College, earning her DANB certification as a Dental Assistant. After 16 years as a dental assistant, Grace continued her education and earned her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. A lifelong Hawthorne resident, Grace was once a patient at Gator Dental herself as a young adolescent. She has been a part of the Gator Dental team since 2020. Outside the office, Grace enjoys spending time with her children, making memories with family, and traveling to Tennessee and Ohio to visit loved ones. She treasures family time and enjoys the opportunity to reconnect with family whenever she can.
Tracey, Dental Assistant
Tracey is the lead dental assistant at Gator Dental and has been serving patients in the dental field for 37 years. Born and raised locally, her passion for dentistry began during her senior year of high school when she started working as a dental assistant in the afternoons. She holds certifications in Dental Radiology, Dental Assisting, and Orthodontic Assisting. She has been with Gator Dental since 2026.Tracey loves building relationships with patients and is known for her calming, professional presence and genuine Southern charm, helping patients feel comfortable and at ease during their dental visits. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren and cherishes the time she gets to spend with her family.
